Putin says glad about result on 2018 presidential elections
MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- President and winner of the March 18 presidential elections Vladimir Putin thanked the volunteers for his campaign and said that he is glad about his result on Monday.
According to the Central Election Commission, Putin yielded 76.67% of votes after processing of 99.75% of ballots.
“I think that we are all a big team, not only those represented here but on the square, in Moscow, in the country as a whole, I mean all people who have voted today and whose positions have made the result very decent,” Putin said.
He said that he will remain committed to the words in his earlier address, “I did not say this just for the effect. We need a decisive leap in development. We can do this, we have reached a level when we may do this leap.”
He added that the former inflation level was making such progress impossible.
Putin also said that Russia is interested in positive development in relations with all countries on all continents.
